Ready Set Dance
Walking to 5 Years
A joyful introduction to dance, movement and confidence
Our preschool programs are designed to give children the very best start to their dance journey. Through music, movement, imagination and age-appropriate skill development, students build confidence, coordination and creativity while having fun in a nurturing and supportive environment.
At BPA Dance Studio, we believe the early years are about much more than learning steps. They’re about developing confidence, independence, friendships and a lifelong love of movement. Every class is carefully structured to engage young minds while helping children develop important physical and social skills that support them both inside and outside the studio.
Whether your child loves to twirl around the living room, sing along to their favourite songs or simply enjoys moving to music, our preschool programs provide the perfect place to begin.
Our Programs For Preschoolers
Our youngest dancers begin here.
Ready Set Move is designed for children who are just beginning their movement journey. Through music, games and creative exploration, children develop confidence, coordination and a love of movement in a welcoming environment that supports early childhood development.
Ready Set Dance is our most popular preschool program and introduces students to jazz, tap, singing and music in one exciting class.
This high-energy program keeps children engaged while helping them develop rhythm, coordination, musicality and confidence. Students love the fun music and exciting activities, while parents love watching their child’s confidence grow throughout the year.
For children who love storytelling, imagination and graceful movement, Ready Set Ballet provides a magical introduction to classical ballet.
Students explore ballet foundations through imaginative adventures, helping them develop posture, balance, musicality and creativity while building confidence in a supportive environment.
Ready Set Acro introduces foundational acrobatic skills through a safe and progressive program.
Students work on flexibility, strength, balance and coordination while learning how their bodies move and develop. Classes are designed to be fun, challenging and age-appropriate for growing dancers.

Our Preschool Timetable
Why parents choose BPA
The preschool years are an important stage of development. Through dance, children build coordination, balance, confidence, listening skills and independence in an environment that feels like fun rather than learning.
Our teachers understand that every child develops differently. Some children jump straight into class, while others take a little longer to settle in. That’s why we focus on creating a positive experience where every student feels supported from day one.

How do I enrol my child?
STEP 1
Download Dance Studio Pro App
You can set up all of your child's classes and get your invoices all sorted in one place. When Downloading the app you will also receive an email with the link to login along with a temporary password.
STEP 2
Let's get your parent portal set up!
You can set up all of your child's classes and get your invoices all sorted. If your child's classes aren't already in your portal you can search and find your preferred classes in the class section of the app. Weekly direct debit payments are taken out on Thursdays the week before your classes. To enrol in auto pay you will need to go to the more section of your app and then click into auto-pay and fill in your preferred card details.
You will have your $50 registration fee in your portal that will be charged on the first Thursday of your direct debit.
Do I need to enrol for each class separately?
Yes. Each class must be enrolled.
This keeps class numbers accurate and ensures we staff classes correctly.
I have more than one child. Can I enrol them together?
You can add multiple children under the same Parent Portal, but:
Each child must be enrolled separately
Each class must be checked out separately
Are classes capped?
Yes. All classes have strict capacity limits for safety and quality.
When a class reaches capacity, enrolments close.
Interested in joining our dance family?
We have students travel from Berrinba, Crestmead, Browns Plains, Marsden, Springwood, Algester, Underwood, Meadowbrook, Sunnybank Hills, Loganholme, Logan and surrounding areas to join our adult and kids dance classes.
-
How are fees paid?
From 2026, BPA Dance Studio fees are paid by weekly automated direct debit only.
Why weekly direct debit?
Weekly payments help:
Avoid large invoices
Keep accounts up to date automatically
Reduce missed payments and manual follow-ups
Keep payments smaller and easier to manage
Can I pay another way (cash, bank transfer, term invoices)?
No. Weekly direct debit is the only payment method.
What happens if a payment fails?
You will receive an automatic notification. Please update your details as soon as possible.
If missed payments are not resolved, this may lead to late fees and/or a pause on class attendance until the account is up to date.
Will we be charged on public holidays?
The studio will be closed and class will not run on public holidays so families will not be charged for any public holidays in that same direct debit week.
Do we need to purchase uniform and shoes?
Students must wear the Ready Set Dance uniform. However, we need to make sure we are the right fit for you and your child before committing to anything. Comfortable clothes and sneakers are fine for the first couple of lessons. Once your child has settled you can purchase the official Ready Set Dance uniform at reception which we are sure you will love.
Is uniform required?
Yes. All students must wear the official BPA uniform for their class style
Where do we purchase uniforms?
Uniforms are purchased through the studio. We offer:
Sizing help during office hours
Special uniform weeks (announced ahead of time)
Are costumes included in fees?
No. Costumes are charged separately.
Costume information and due dates are provided well in advance so families have time to plan.

What happens if I miss classes due to injury, illness, or surgery?
Injury & Extended Absence Policy
If you are unable to attend classes for an extended period (4 or more consecutive weeks) due to sickness, injury, or surgery, you may be eligible for special consideration.
To apply, you must:
Provide written notice outlining your situation
Submit a valid medical certificate covering the full period of absence
Notify us at the time of the incident to be considered for a possible fee waiver
Requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
What if my child is injured or unwell?
Please tell the teacher (or notify the office) before class.
Student safety comes first. We will modify activity where needed, or recommend rest if appropriate.
If unwell, stay home and contact us.If we miss a class can it be made up on another day of the week?
You may swap days during Terms 1, 2 and 3 if you miss a class (as long as the make up class is not full). In term 4, each class works on a different routine for the end-of-year concert, and it is too confusing for students to be swapping days. We do recommend that you avoid alternating days too much as preschoolers need the comfort of knowing that the same teacher and their friends will be there when they go to dancing.
What happens if my child misses a class?
We understand things come up. However, missed classes are not refundable and cannot be transferred to another student or term.
Do you offer make-up classes?
Make-up classes are not guaranteed. If available, they depend on:
Class capacity
Age and level suitability
Timing within the term
What happens with unforeseen weather conditions/Public Holidays?
We will notify parents of any studio closures due to wild weather conditions or any public holidays where we will not be open in advance.
-
How will I receive studio updates?
We communicate through:
Email
Parent Portal notifications
Studio social media (reminders only)
Please keep your contact details up to date in your Parent Portal to avoid missing important info.
Who do I contact with questions?
For enrolments, fees, uniforms, timetables, or general admin, please contact the studio office.
Teachers cannot discuss admin matters before or after class because they are supervising students and preparing for lessons.
-
Behaviour expectations
We expect all students to show:
Respect
Kindness
Teamwork
If behaviour becomes unsafe or repeatedly disruptive, we may contact a parent and, if needed, remove the student from class to maintain a safe learning environment
Can I watch my child’s classes?
In our experience preschoolers are able to concentrate better without the distraction of other noise in the room from parents and other siblings. Our program has been endorsed by leading child care experts who support the independent learning model. As preschoolers participate in classes they have the opportunity to develop additional secure attachments with adults (teachers) and peers. This helps them transition positively into the larger world and helps with school readiness.
Having said that, a lot of children are timid at first and need to know that a parent is close by. Our program allows parents to watch the first class if necessary to help them adjust.
Can parents watch classes?
We run scheduled Watch Weeks during the year. Outside of these weeks, classes are closed to:
Reduce distraction
Support student focus and confidence
Keep classes running smoothly
What is watching day?
Watching day is where parents get to view their child dance as an audience in the classroom. It’s a chance for your child to begin their first step to working on their performance skills.
What about hair and shoes?
Requirements vary by style and level. Full details are provided after enrolment so you know exactly what to buy and how to wear it for class.
-
Do all students participate in concerts?
Our end-of-year concert is a key part of the BPA experience and is strongly encouraged for all students.
Are concerts compulsory?
Not compulsory, but highly encouraged.
Classwork and choreography are taught with performance in mind, so students get the most out of the year by participating.
Do students do exams?
Exams may be offered for selected styles and levels.
Exams are usually optional
Some programs or levels may require exams and we will clearly advise you if that applies
What are the pre-requisites for competition team?
Students from 6 years and up are offered the opportunity to perform as a member of our eisteddfod team. Competition Team is an extension program offered to those who excel and participate in a minimum of 4 genres (for 6-11years) and a minimum of 6 classes (12 years and up) must be participated in per week with 2 of theses classes being ballet. The Performance Team participates in various dance competitions/eisteddfods, community events and charity events. Performance team is for those students who demonstrate a high level of commitment, skills, and dedication to their dance studies. This program is developed for students who wish to live and breathe dance and build the important skills of performing. Each performance builds confidence, performance skills, stage presence, team work and a determination to succeed.
